Sara Dragan

Sara Dragan is 23 years old award-winning concert violinist, emerging as one of the finest violinists of her generation. She started to play the violin at the age of 7, under the tutelage of her parents, Konrad and Alicja Dragan. Sara is protégée of legendary pedagogue Professor Zakhar Bron. She is student of Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid  Zakhar Bron Academy in Switzerland and she has graduated with honors from K.Lipinski Music Academy in Wroclaw.

Sara is currently playing on an old Italian violin – Niccolo Amati (1666) on the generous loan from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins (London).

Despite her young age, Sara won first prize / Grand Prix of about 60 violin competitions in Europe, Asia and USA, among others: International Violin H.Wieniawski & K.Lipinski Competition, Novosibirsk International Violin Competition, New York International Artists Association Competition, International G.P.Telemann Violin Competition, International Global Music Partnership Competition.

As a soloist, she gave concerts at Berlin Philharmonie Big Hall, Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Hall of Los Angeles Philharmonic, Konzerthaus Berlin, CSO Ada Ankara, Haeundae Cultural Center Concert Hall of Busan in South Korea, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (Illinois), Rachmaninov Concert Hall in Moscow, NFM Wroclaw, NOSPR Katowice, Polish Royal Palace in Warsaw and many others. She played in most Polish Philharmonic Halls as well as was touring around Europe, Asia and USA.

She has already played hundreds of concerts as a soloist. She performed solo with such an orchestras as: Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra, Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta, The Polish Wieniawski Philharmonic Orchestra, Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble, Prague Chamber Orchestra, iPalpiti Soloists Orchestra and many others.

In 2021 she released her debut CD with works of S.Prokofiev and J.Hubay, which she recorded with pianist Roustem Saitkoulov for American Label Orpheus on a golden period A. Stradivarius violin from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins in London. Recording is available on all the digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music etc.)

In 2022 Sara Dragan went on “USA tour 2022” managed by Columbia Artists Management (31 concerts in 17 states) where she performed as a soloist under the baton of Maestro Wojciech Rodek together with The Polish Wieniawski Philharmonic Orchestra.

Sara made her debut after 6 months of studying violin playing. She performed «Obertas» Henryk Wieniawski Obertas with the orchestra.

At the age of 12 she played Violin Concerto No.1 in D- major by Niccolo Paganini (with the cadenza of E. Sauret) and Carmen Fantasie by F.Waxman with the accompaniment of the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Piotr Borkowski.

At age 15, she made her United States debut at Carnegie Hall where she played Concerto No.1 in F-sharp minor by H.Wieniawski, as well as “The Last Rose of Summer” by W.Ernst.

Sara Dragan has performed at many prestigious festivals all over the world among those are Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival, Interlaken Classics, Henryk Wieniawski Festival and the «Emanations» Festival at Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center of Music.
